It is common that over time, the grout becomes smeared, moldy and looks really bad. What happens is that some people don't know how to clean it or the methods they use don't work, but today we will teach you three ways to clean it and leave the bathroom shining! The recipes are very simple and the ingredients are already in your house.

But before starting with the recipes, it is important to know that there are two types of most commonly used grout: epoxy and cement. If you are dealing with epoxy grout, it is easier to clean and more likely to return to its original color, whereas cement grout is more difficult to return to its original color. Another important point is to know if the grout has been sealed, otherwise cleaning can damage it.

How to clean bathroom grout

Recipe 1

White vinegar has an absurd cleaning power, the most potent mixtures are made with this ingredient. It is a great mold remover. The secret is to apply it with an old toothbrush or a cloth, and right after that, let it act for approximately 15 minutes.

The smell of vinegar may not be very pleasant, so to solve this problem right after removing the product, apply a disinfectant or leave a scent in the bathroom.

Recipe 2

Make a paste with two parts water and one part baking soda. To boost the mixture, add a few drops of lemon. Then pass the mixture on the dirty grout and let it act for about 10 minutes. After this time, therefore, scrub with an old toothbrush that you no longer use. Then, just finish by pouring water and passing a cloth to dry.

Recipe 3

The recipe is similar to the previous one, only with the addition of hydrogen peroxide. Take one part of bicarbonate to two parts of hydrogen peroxide volume 10. Next, apply this paste on the grout and let it act for only 5 minutes. Now it's time to rub with a brush, remove the excess with a damp cloth and finish with a dry cloth. It will be white!

What causes your bathroom grout to smear and make it look ugly and dirty is the accumulation of everyday dirt. Create a cleaning routine so you don't get to an extreme case and you have to do the grout again. Use the tips above!
